Dear Martin. It is so hard to say goodbye to you after 59 years of knowing you. You were a loving, kind, generous and hardworking husband. Together we raised our nine children and taught them good values and provided a home and the best education we could. Your sense of humour always showed through good times and bad. During our time together there were good times and bad times but you always bounced back and never let adversity beat you.
In the coming times I will miss you so much but will find consolation in the strength that you showed over the past few months.
Your loving wife Ruth xxxx

Dad, it’s hard to believe you are no longer with us....I will always remember the fun times growing up with your funny jokes, manerisms, one liners and generosity toward others. You have taught me to be hard working, honest, respectful and to be true to my word amongst many others.... these are all things I will carry with me forever. You have been a great Pa to Chloe, Jeremie and Bonnie they always looked forward to visiting you and shaking hands with you as they left.. they will miss you dearly.
Dad I’ll miss our chats about the races and footy.. until we meet again...xx

Dad,
I am grateful for everything you have done for me over the years. Your roaring laugh, quick wit and sense of humour will be greatly missed. Among many things, you taught us to be kind, respectful, work hard and to always keep your word. Rest in peace Dad.
Love Loretta & Jacob

Dad, Thanks for being a kind, generous hard working Father. You taught me a lot of things growing up. We had a lot of fun times on the farm, at social activities, driving in the car and at home.
I will never forget your sayings " we we" " you got to rise" " you wouldnt read about it". Thanks for supporting me with my football and watching me win the div 1 lawn bowls grand final for gisborne even though you wanted to throw the bowls in the dam two years before that. Thanks for being a life member of the Trentham Football Club with me and Brendan. Thanks for all the visits and lifts to RCH when i was in there in my younger years. We also hold the record for most acres of spuds planted in a year (230). Thanks for supporting me to become an accountant and get my degree and CPA. You taught me to work hard, be honest, look out for other siblings, and enjoy life. I will do my best to look after Mum and behave. I enjoyed our little conversations over the last two weeks in the hospitals and i wont forget you one liners and certain words used at times. I will miss you Dad and we will give you a good send off as you requested. Love Tim.
