Keith Nolan

Keith you were a rare individual and a fondly remembered part of our history goes with you. A gentle man in all ways. Keith, you had an even temperament, a fair mind and a generous heart. Above all, you loved flying and imparted that sense of enthusiasm to whomever you were with, especially 'us kids' at the time. Keith you introduced me back to flying in 2000, now twenty years ago and allowed me to experience what you adored; sharing the atmosphere with cumulus clouds, eagles and the wide sky. You were a genuine enthusiast and a positive influence on all who knew you. I can't imagine the years have flown such that so many of the people who influenced and affected us as kids are no longer with us. Today we pay respects to you and remind ourselves of days at the Sunraysia airlfield, dust in our hair, sun in our eyes, gazes following thin winged mechanical birds, launching for a glimpse of soaring flight. We were among skilled men judging and maneuvering; a dalliance with turbulent air just long enough for an hour of deliverance from the ordinary. You Keith were just one of these men and this is how I remember you. Thank you for having us in your life and sharing the remembrance of the others .who, like you, were touched by a special talent and a willing opportunity to go where the eagles ride, and then to take us with you, wide eyed and a little tremulous. Thank you too for the chance to share your worldly insights and cares with us and giving your undivided attention. You were always an attentive listener and sage adviser. Steve (aka Steamboat)
